I graduated with a Bsc in Mental Health Nursing from Anglia Ruskin University. I worked for Inmind Healthcare in London as a support worker in forensic mental health services while completing my nursing training.
I have worked in the clinical area for the past 5 years as a Mental Health Nurse firstly at Highfield Healthcare, Dublin, Ireland and then on an acute mental health ward in the Health Service Executive, Limerick, Ireland.
I completed a part time masters in Psychosocial Interventions in Mental Health Care at the University of Limerick while working in the clinical area. My research focused on the area of relapse prevention in psychosis. Subsequent to this I completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical and Healthcare Education at Anglia Ruskin University. I joined Edge Hill University in May 2023.
I am part of the NUR 1000 Team but have taught across the Bsc Nursing programme delivering both theoretical and practical content. I am currently leading the NUR 1000 practical assessment.
