Biography
I am new to academia having started at Edgehill University in May 2023.
Over the past 5 years I have been working in acute mental health care firstly at Highfield Healthcare in Dublin, Ireland. Thereafter I worked in the Health Service Executive (HSE) on an acute psychiatric ward in Limerick,Ireland. I worked with a range of service users experiencing enduring mental illness over the last 4 years.
I trained as a Mental Health Nurse at Anglia Ruskin University, Essex. During this time I also worked bank shifts as a support worker in a forensic Hospital in Battersea for Inmind healthcare.
My research interests are in the area of relapse prevention in psychosis. I am in the process of trying to publish my master's findings.
My academic credentials include a Master's and a PG cert in medical and healthcare education. I am part of the NUR 1000 team and deliver both practical and theoretical content. In my spare time I enjoy playing football, swimming, eating out and travelling when time and money allows.
