Biography
I completed both my Masters degrees in Nottingham. Shortly after i gained a position as an Education Mental Health Practitioner, delivering Low-Intensity CBT therpay in Bristol. Experienced in Li-CBT with a demonstrated history of working with SEN and LAC pupils, delivering behaviour and therapeutic interventions. Having worked in the clinical field for 3 years, i decided it was time for a career change. This is when i joined EHU as a lecturer in Education Mental Health Practitioner. This role has provided me with the opportunity to impart my clinical skills and knowledgebase to the new therapists. I passionately support the need for early intervention, multi-disciplinary working, effective and proactive chnage, high standard of work ethics, persistence, resilience and strong effective communication.
Special interests include: refugee and asylum seeking children and youn people mental health.
Teaching
I primarily teach on the Postgraduate Education Mental Health Programme.
I also teach on HUG1125 - Foundations in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
