Biography
Aasim is an Electrical Engineer by profession and an educationist by choice, currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science and Informatics. He is also working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) at Departemnt of Computer Science at Edge Hill University, United Kingdom. He previously worked as a college lecturer in Physics and Computer Science, and has also served as a Research Assistant at COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus. His research interests and expertise are in signal and image processing, artificial intelligence/deep learning (AI/DL), and evolutionary optimization algorithms.
Research Focus:
- Robust Face Image Retrieval using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)
- Antenna Array Failure Correction for Phased-Array Radars using classical Machine Learning algorithms
- Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI/DL) in accurate breast cancer diagnosis
