The Intelligent Visual Computing Research Centre is a platform for developing effective visual computing and artificial intelligence techniques, accumulating insight and knowledge, and applying them to understand and solve real-world problems, strengthen our links to industries, and contribute to the region and the UK economy and society.
The Centre’s aims:

To be the world-class leader in research, scholarship, commercialization, and education in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.

Perform fundamental and applied research upon which future Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence industries can be built.

Deliver the highest quality all-inclusive education and research experience in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence at all levels from GCSE/A-Levels to undergraduate to doctoral and postdoctoral levels to develop a highly skilled workforce for North-West England and the UK’s economic development.
