The Intelligent Visual Computing Research Centre is a platform for developing effective visual computing and artificial intelligence techniques, accumulating insight and knowledge, and applying them to understand and solve real-world problems, strengthen our links to industries, and contribute to the region and the UK economy and society.
 
The Centre’s aims:
  • To be the world-class leader in research, scholarship, commercialization, and education in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Perform fundamental and applied research upon which future Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence industries can be built.
  • Deliver the highest quality all-inclusive education and research experience in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence at all levels from GCSE/A-Levels to undergraduate to doctoral and postdoctoral levels to develop a highly skilled workforce for North-West England and the UK’s economic development.
