Seventy-first Regional Committee for Europe: virtual session, 1315 September 2021: reducing the burden of noncommunicable diseases through strengthening prevention and control of diabetes
In resolution WHA74.4 (2021) the Seventy-fourth World Health Assembly requested the Director-General to develop, in collaboration with Member States, and in consultation with non state actors and people living with or affected by diabetes, recommendations to strengthen and monitor diabetes responses within national noncommunicable disease programmes, and recommendations for the prevention and management of obesity over the life course, including considering the potential development of targets. This report draws on findings form the ADDITION study - focusing prevention and screening.
