These training sessions (10 h) are aimed to involve senior academics (mentors) with prior experience in supervising industry-linked PhD research alongside early career academics (mentees) seeking to develop their supervisory skills through peer learning.
The training consists of two interactive online sessions of two hours for each group (mentors & mentees), providing a structured space for knowledge exchange and skills development. A final two-hour joint online supervision session will bring mentors and mentees together, fostering collaborative learning and practical application of mentoring strategies in PhD and Master supervision as applied specifically in industry contexts.
This training programme aims to equip senior academics with mentoring skills, enabling them to support early career academics in enhancing their skills in supervision and developing PhD and master’s by Research in collaboration with industry.
