Description

Take the #100TweetChallenge, the first in a series of webinars by @socmedhe, part of the Advance HE Connect group exploring the pedagogical use of social media.

@socmedhe is active in supporting the enhancement of practice in the pedagogical use of social media disseminating learning and teaching materials using blogs, MOOCs, VLEs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, What’s App and Snapchat.

On Advance HE Connect, the group provides a collaborative space where anyone can explore the potential that social media as a pedagogy holds. The group aims to support teaching and learning by helping colleagues bridge the gap between traditional teaching methods and contemporary digital learning. Specifically, it supports those who aren’t digitally confident to become confident and competent in the use of online technologies to enhance teaching, learning and assessment, encourages the responsible use of social media, empowers their students to create a positive, outward facing social media presence that enhances their employability.

Group members Sarah Wright and Dr Dawne Irving-Bell invite you to take part in the #100TweetChallenge, the first in a series of webinars by the group linked to the Social Media for Learning in Higher Education Conference 2019. The webinar aims to help you reflect on your own social media presence and takes place on Monday 8 July at 6pm.
